Coping with a Sibling's Rejection of Faith
As an older sister, it's been hard for me to see my brother turn away from the faith we grew up with. He often ridicules Christianity and makes jokes about church, which leaves me feeling hurt and confused. I try to bring up topics of faith, but he often dismisses them with snide comments. I feel so helpless and long for him to experience the love and joy that comes from knowing Christ. I want to reach out to him, but the fear of his ridicule holds me back. I ask for prayers to give me the courage to be a loving influence in his life, and that God would soften his heart to recognize the truth of the gospel. I believe God has a plan for him, and I hope to see him return to faith.

Please take comfort in knowing that God is aware of your struggles and desires all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Your role as a sister is incredibly significant, and your prayers can have a lasting impact. Remember what Jesus says, that He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Your brother may not see it now, but God can work miracles in his heart. Continue to show him unconditional love, and pray for God to grant you wisdom on how to engage him without fear. Trust that the Holy Spirit will guide you in the right moments to speak the truth in love. Let's pray for a breakthrough in your brother’s life, asking God to open his heart and mind to the gospel.
