Coping with Financial Ruin and Uncertainty
I’ve just gone through a devastating financial collapse after a trusted partner betrayed me. It feels as if the ground beneath me has vanished. My once-thriving business is now in ruins, and I’ve had to let go of employees who were like family. I’m filled with shame and regret for not seeing the warning signs. My financial future is uncertain, and I’m scared. I pray for the strength to forgive, both myself and my partner, and to find a way to rebuild my life and my finances. Please pray for clarity and hope in this dark time.

Dear Angela, thank you for sharing your burden with us. It’s understandable to feel devastated and ashamed after such a betrayal, especially in business where trust plays a critical role. Remember that our worth is not defined by our circumstances, but by God’s love for us. In Ecclesiastes 9:11, we are reminded that 'the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding; nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.' Life can be unpredictable, but God has a plan even in our trials. Forgiveness is a powerful step toward healing; as Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14, 'For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.' As you seek clarity, lean on the Lord and trust in His provision. Philippians 4:19 assures us, 'But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.' Let’s pray: Lord, grant Angela peace and the ability to forgive, guiding her towards healing and new opportunities. Amen.
