Coping with My Parent's Alzheimer's Journey
As my father battles Alzheimer's, I find myself grieving the loss of his vibrant personality. The man who taught me so much about life is slowly becoming a stranger in his own body. Each encounter leaves me feeling a mix of love and deep sorrow. It feels as if I am losing him, even as he is still present. I ask for prayers to cope with this loss and to find strength in my faith. I want to be a source of love and support for him, but the emotional toll is heavy. Please pray for peace and understanding during this time.

Dear James, your heartache is a reflection of the love you have for your father. It’s difficult to watch someone you care about change in such a profound way. Do not hesitate to lean into your faith during these turbulent times. Romans 8:28 assures us that 'all things work together for good to them that love God.' God is at work in your situation, even when it feels overwhelming. Remember, as His Word says, 'the Lord is good to them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him' (Lamentations 3:25). In this waiting and pain, God will meet you. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, I ask that you surround James with Your peace and comfort as he navigates this difficult journey with his father. Amen.
