Coping with Unexpected Loss as a Single Parent
Since my husband’s tragic accident last month, I feel as though I am walking through a fog. I have two children at home, and I struggle to find the energy to care for their needs while I am still so heartbroken. They sense my sadness and are acting out, and it’s hard to be the parent they need right now. I worry about their emotional state and how this loss will affect them as they grow. I’m asking for prayer that I can find the strength to be present for them, to help them process their feelings, and to heal together as a family.

Grief and Healing Ministry
Dear Tina, I want you to know that my heart goes out to you and your children during this challenging time. The loss of your husband has created a storm of emotions, not just for you but for your kids as well. It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed, and I encourage you to lean into God’s love and comfort. Psalm 23:4 reminds us that 'Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.' You are not walking this journey alone; God is right beside you, sustaining you through each day. Give yourself permission to grieve and allow your children to share their feelings openly with you. In Lamentations 3:32, we see that the Lord’s compassion is present even in our grief. By facing these emotions together as a family, you can encourage healing and closeness. I will pray that God provides you with strength, wisdom, and peace as you guide your children through this difficult time, and that He surrounds you with His comforting presence.
