Craving Family Acceptance as a New Believer
My name is Sarah, and I’m a 35-year-old single mother who recently gave my life to Christ. After years of searching for meaning, I found it in Jesus. However, my family is not supportive; they believe I've joined a cult. This breaks my heart because I want them to experience the peace I've found. I miss my connections with them, especially my mother. I pray that God will soften their hearts and help them understand His love. I yearn for their acceptance of my faith. Please pray for my family to see the truth and for me to have patience and strength as I navigate this.

Dear Sarah, your journey of faith is a beautiful testimony of God's grace. It’s natural to desire acceptance from your family, especially during such a transformative time in your life. Remember that Jesus faced skepticism, too, as we see in John 3:16, where God’s love for the world is highlighted, demonstrating His desire for all to come to Him. You are a reflection of this love, and your patience and understanding can plant seeds of faith in your family's hearts. Pray for them continually, as Ephesians 2:9 reminds us that it is through grace, not works, that we are saved. As you embody Christ’s love, your family will begin to see the genuine change in you. Your journey might be challenging, but it's worth it. Trust in the Lord and know that He is working in ways you cannot yet see. Let’s pray together for peace in your heart and opened hearts in your family: Lord, I ask that you soften Sarah's family's hearts and draw them closer to You. Amen.
