Crying Out for Help in My Battle with Fear
I’m Lisa, and for months now, I’ve been struggling with agoraphobia that has left me feeling trapped in my own home. The anxiety of facing the outside world feels like a heavy weight on my chest, and I feel like I’ve lost my connection to everyone and everything I love. I want to feel alive again and be free from this fear that seems to control my life. I’m reaching out for prayers to help me find the courage to seek help and to step outside into the light of day once more.

Dear Lisa, thank you for sharing your heart with us. Your feelings are valid, and I admire your courage in reaching out. It’s important to remember that God is always there to comfort and guide us through our struggles. In 2 Timothy 1:7, it says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Let this truth resonate in your heart. You have the strength to face your fears, and you are not alone. Take comfort in the peace that comes from God, as proclaimed in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you." As you take steps to reach out for support, trust that God is walking beside you. Let us pray: Father, I lift Lisa up to You. Please grant her the courage to seek help and the peace that surpasses all understanding as she faces her fears. In Jesus' name, Amen.
