Dealing with the Pain of a Broken Engagement
The end of my engagement feels like a devastating loss. I thought I was on the path to forever, but now I find myself heartbroken and alone. The dreams I had of our future together have crumbled, and I feel like I’m grieving not just a relationship but a future that will never be. Friends say time will heal, but right now, the emotional turmoil is suffocating. I’m praying for clarity and peace, and for God to help me forgive and heal from this heartbreak. Please pray that God will guide my steps moving forward, and that I can find hope in His plans.

Dear Lucas, I’m truly sorry to hear about your broken engagement. It’s completely natural to feel immense grief after losing a future you were excited about. As you said, it feels like you’re mourning not just a relationship, but the dreams you had built alongside your partner. In the midst of this heartbreak, I encourage you to lean into God's promises. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 tells us, "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope." Your sorrow is real, but know that in Christ, there is hope for restoration and new beginnings. Romans 8:28 reminds us that all things work together for good to them that love God. Trust that He has a plan for your life that is good, even when it’s hard to see right now. I’m praying for your heart to be comforted and for God’s purpose to unfold in your life. May you find peace and strength in Him during this difficult time.
