Desiring My Colleague's Heart to Be Open to Christ
I have a colleague named Ahmed who recently moved to my country for work. He comes from a different faith background, and while we have built a good rapport, I can sense a wall when it comes to discussing spirituality. He often talks about the struggles he faces while adapting to a new culture, and I have felt prompted to share the Gospel with him. However, I worry about how he might react, having witnessed his defensive stance. I believe wholeheartedly in the power of salvation and the gift of grace as laid out in Ephesians 2:8. I ask for prayer that God would soften Ahmed's heart and open his mind to the truth of Jesus. Pray that I may find the right moments to speak and show him Christ's love in practical ways so he can be receptive to the message.

Dear Fatima, thank you for your willingness to share the Gospel with Ahmed and for being sensitive to his background and feelings. It can be challenging to engage in spiritual conversations with those from different faith traditions, but your heart for him is commendable. Remember that it is God who changes hearts. Romans 10:9 reminds us that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our hearts, we will be saved. This powerful truth is important for Ahmed to hear. Your genuine care for him can open doors that might seem closed. Ephesians 2:9 emphasizes that salvation is a gift, not something we can achieve on our own, and this is a beautiful message to share. As you interact with Ahmed, let your actions reflect Christ’s love; sometimes, love speaks louder than words. Let's pray for Ahmed’s heart to be opened and for your conversations to be guided by the Holy Spirit. Lord, we ask that You work in Ahmed’s life, drawing him closer to You, and give Fatima the wisdom to share Your love effectively. Amen.
