Desiring Restoration Before My Grandmother Passes
My grandmother is in hospice, and our family has faced a lot of strife over the years. I have had a strained relationship with her, filled with misunderstandings and distance. Before she passes, I want to seek reconciliation, but I fear rejection and the weight of our past struggles. I pray for courage to approach her, to express my love, and for the grace of God to heal what has been broken. I ask for prayers that she might accept my attempts to reconnect and that we can find peace together in her remaining time.

Dear Sofia, your desire for reconciliation reflects a beautiful heart that longs for healing. It takes great courage to face past hurts and offer love amidst the pain. Remember, God is a God of restoration, as seen in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." As you approach your grandmother, lean on the promise that God can transform your relationship, even in these final days. In this moment, as you seek to bring peace, know that Romans 6:23 assures us that "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Sharing the message of God’s love and grace can be a powerful catalyst for healing. Approach her with kindness and an open heart, and trust God to guide your words and actions. I pray for courage for you and a receptive heart for your grandmother. May the Lord bless your efforts for reconciliation and fill your time together with His love. Amen.
