Desiring Salvation for My Young Athletes
As a youth soccer coach, I have the privilege of mentoring a vibrant group of young athletes. I see how their personalities shine on the field, but my heart breaks when I think about their spiritual lives. Many of them come from difficult backgrounds, and I want them to know that there is hope in Christ. I have been praying for an opportunity to share the Gospel with them in a way that resonates with their young hearts. I want them to understand that salvation is not just a concept but a personal relationship with Jesus. Please join me in prayer that I can find the right moments to introduce them to Christ and that their hearts would be open to His love and salvation. I long to see them not just excel in sports but also grow in faith.

Dear Liam, it’s truly inspiring to see your commitment to the spiritual well-being of your young athletes. God has given you a unique role in their lives, and I believe He will use you to make a lasting impact. In Acts 4:12, we learn that there is salvation in no other name but Jesus Christ, and this is the truth you are longing to share with them. Remember, your authentic witness can speak volumes; as you model Christ's love and grace, you may be the light they need (Matthew 5:16). It’s essential to pray for the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts as you open the door to discussions about faith. You are planting seeds of hope, and it’s God who gives the increase. Consider organizing informal gatherings where you can discuss life, sports, and faith in a relatable way. Let's pray together: Lord, grant Liam the wisdom and courage to guide these young athletes towards You, and may their hearts be open to Your salvation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
