Desiring to Share Christ's Love with New Neighbors

Hello, my name is Carlos, and I’m a 45-year-old husband and father. We recently welcomed a family with children into our neighborhood, and I’m eager to build a friendship with them. I want to share the love of Christ with them, but I’m unsure how to initiate that conversation. I pray for wisdom and guidance as I reach out to them, especially as my own kids can learn about sharing their faith by my example. Please pray for open doors and that my family can be a light to them! Thank you!

Dear Carlos,

Thank you for your heartfelt request to share Christ’s love with your new neighbors. It’s encouraging to see your passion, and I commend you for wanting to set an example for your children in sharing the Gospel. As you step into this new relationship, remember that communication starts with kindness and genuine interest. Show them the love of Christ through your actions, as seen in Galatians 5:22-23, where the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, and kindness.

As you engage with this family, praying for them will be essential. God desires that all come to repentance and find life in Him (Ezekiel 18:23). When you build that friendship, it opens doors for deeper discussions about faith. Your family can be a powerful influence, and as you reflect God’s love, they will see what it means to live in His grace.

Let us pray: Father, I lift Carlos and his family to You. Guide their efforts to reach out to their new neighbors and may their relationship lead to opportunities to share Your love and truth. In Jesus' name, Amen.
