Desiring Unity in Faith with My Spouse

Dear Pastor Samuel, I hope this message finds you well. I am married to someone who doesn’t have faith, and while I respect their beliefs, it creates a void in our relationship. I find myself yearning for a spiritual partner with whom I could share my thoughts and prayers. Sometimes, I wonder if our marriage can sustain this divide. I pray often for my spouse’s heart to be opened to the truth of God’s love. Please pray for our union and for my faith to be strong, even in this challenging situation.

Pastor John Williams

Discipleship Pastor

Dear Anita, thank you for your heartfelt message. It’s clear you deeply love your spouse and desire a spiritual connection. The feelings you’re experiencing are valid, and I encourage you to bring these concerns before God in prayer. Jesus said in Matthew 19:6, 'What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.' Your marriage is a sacred bond, and it’s essential to nurture it despite the spiritual differences. I encourage you to be patient and to model Christ-like love, as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4, which teaches us that love is patient and kind. Continue to pray for your spouse, trusting that God can change hearts as we see in Acts 16:31. Surround yourself with supportive believers who can uplift you and pray alongside you. I will be praying for both of you, that God will strengthen your relationship and open your spouse’s heart to His love. May you find encouragement and peace in this season.
