Despair Turns to Hope: My Husband's Salvation Journey
Hello, my name is Miriam, and I have been married to my husband, Thomas, for nearly 20 years. For the longest time, I have been praying for his salvation, but it feels like an uphill battle. He grew up in a faithless home and often views religion as unnecessary. There are moments of desperation when I ask God why I can't reach him, and I worry that time is running out. My heart aches because I see the light in Jesus, and I want him to experience that same joy and peace. I believe that God doesn’t desire anyone to perish (Ezekiel 18:23), and I’m asking for prayers that Thomas will have a revelation of God’s love. I want him to come to faith in Jesus and see the hope that awaits him. Please pray for his heart to be softened and for our conversations to be filled with grace and understanding. Thank you.

Dear Miriam, thank you for sharing your burden with us. It is clear that your love for Thomas is profound, and your desire for him to come to know Christ is a beautiful expression of your faith. It is important to remember that God is always at work, even when we cannot see it. Philippians 1:6 assures us that "He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Your prayers are not in vain; they are part of God's plan to bring Thomas closer to Him. Sometimes, God uses life circumstances to draw someone to faith. Continue to show Thomas the love of Christ through your actions and words, and pray that he may experience the depth of God’s grace. As you pour out your heart in prayer, remember to lean on the peace of God, which passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). I will join you in praying for Thomas—that his heart will be receptive to the Gospel. May God bless you with endurance and hope in this journey. In Jesus' name, Amen.
