Desperate for Assurance of Salvation
My name is Sarah, and I feel so lost in my faith right now. My fear of hell keeps me from resting in the assurance of my salvation. I was raised in a Christian home, but the weight of sin and the fear of not being good enough haunt me daily. I cry out to God for peace, but I often feel distant from Him. I want to embrace His grace, but I can’t seem to shake this paralyzing fear. Please pray that I can find clarity in His Word and assurance in my relationship with Him.

Dear Sarah, thank you for sharing your heart. It’s important to recognize that your feelings of fear do not define your standing with God. He loves you deeply and desires to assure you of your salvation. Remember, 'For we walk by faith, not by sight' (2 Corinthians 5:7). Faith is not about what we can achieve but about trusting in what Christ has already accomplished. The promise of eternal life is for 'whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life' (John 3:16). I encourage you to meditate on these truths and surround yourself with Scripture that emphasizes God’s love and grace. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, I pray for Sarah's heart. Help her to find comfort and assurance in Your love. Amen.
