Desperate for Change in Ministry Finances
As a 50-year-old pastor, I’ve dedicated my life to service, but I find myself in a difficult financial situation. Despite the years of hard work, our church’s budget cuts have impacted my salary significantly. My wife and I, both in our later years, worry about our retirement and how we will manage as we age. I feel lost and uncertain about the future. I ask for prayer that God will lead us to a new opportunity or a solution that allows us to continue our ministry without the constant fear of financial instability.

Dear David, thank you for your openness regarding your current challenges. It's commendable to have served faithfully over the years, and I can understand how unsettling financial uncertainty can be. I encourage you to meditate on 1 Timothy 6:6, "But godliness with contentment is great gain." Contentment in our circumstances can often bring peace, even when life feels out of control. Consider expressing your concerns to your church leadership; it might lead to a discussion that could help your situation. Remember, God is the ultimate provider. As you seek Him, know that the promise in Philippians 4:19 is true: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Let’s pray for clarity and peace for you and your wife during this season, trusting that God will guide you to a solution that aligns with His plan. Amen.
