Desperate for My Husband's Freedom from Addiction
My name is Lisa, and I am reaching out because I feel utterly lost and overwhelmed. My husband has been struggling with alcohol addiction for years, and it has escalated to a point where our home feels unsafe for our two young children. The emotional toll on me and the children is immense, and I find myself constantly worrying about what could happen next. I love my husband and believe in the man he was before addiction took over, but I feel like I’m losing hope. I can’t keep living in fear, and I don't want my children to grow up in this environment. I am asking for prayer for my husband's healing, for strength to support him through this, and for protection for my children during this difficult time.

Dear Lisa, thank you for sharing your heart with me during this incredibly challenging time. It’s evident that your love for your husband and your children is genuine and profound. In times like these, we can look to God for strength and guidance. Remember, He promises us that ‘if we call upon Him, He will answer us’ (Jeremiah 33:3). It’s important to seek help for your husband, perhaps through a support group or counseling. Scripture reminds us that ‘children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward’ (Psalm 127:3). Protecting their well-being must be your priority, and God is with you in that. You are not alone in this struggle. Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father, I ask that You wrap Lisa and her family in Your loving arms. Grant her the wisdom to navigate this situation, and deliver her husband from the chains of addiction. Amen.
