Desperate for Relief from Hellish Thoughts
My name is Mark, and I am 22 years old. Lately, I’ve been plagued by a fear of hell that feels so overwhelming that I can hardly function. It keeps me up at night and interrupts moments that should be filled with joy. I am trying to grow in my faith, but the enemy keeps whispering lies that I am not good enough for salvation. I want to trust in God’s grace, yet I feel trapped by guilt and fear. I am asking for prayer not only for peace but for a stronger faith that can silence these tormenting thoughts. Please pray that I can fully accept the grace that Jesus offers and be free from this fear that seems to bind me.

Dear Mark, thank you for being vulnerable in sharing your struggle. Your feelings are valid, and it’s understandable to feel overwhelmed by anxiety about eternal matters. Know that God does not give us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7), but a spirit of love and a sound mind. Your battle is not uncommon, and many believers have walked this path. Romans 10:17 encourages us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. I urge you to immerse yourself in Scripture and surround yourself with uplifting truths about God’s grace. Remember, nothing can separate you from God's love (Romans 8:39). May the Holy Spirit fill you with peace and assurance as you seek Him in prayer and the Word. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, I ask that You comfort Mark and give him the strength he needs to overcome his fears. Allow him to experience Your grace in a profound way. In Jesus' name, Amen.
