Desperate for Stability After Job Loss
I’m Lisa, a 38-year-old woman facing a challenging time after losing my job in health care. This layoff came as a shock to my system, as I had dedicated years to this profession. Right now, I’m feeling a mix of fear and sadness, worrying about how I will find another job in such a competitive field. I’ve been trying to remain positive and have even started applying to new positions, but my confidence is wavering. I ask for prayers that God grants me resilience and the right opportunity to come my way soon. I just want stability back in my life.

Dear Lisa, thank you for sharing your heart with us during such a tumultuous time. It’s natural to feel a mix of emotions after facing a layoff, especially in a field where you have poured so much of your heart. As you seek a new path, I encourage you to remember that God is working behind the scenes. In Romans 8:28, it says, 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.' Trust that He has something good in store for you, even if it feels uncertain now. Seek His guidance earnestly, as emphasized in James 1:5—ask for wisdom as you navigate your next steps. Also, lean on the encouraging promise of Matthew 11:28, where Jesus invites us to come to Him when we are weary. Know that He is your source of strength in this journey. I will be praying for you and trusting that God will lead you to the right opportunity soon.
