Desperate to Reach a Friend with the Gospel

Hello, I'm James, and I’m currently in the hospital after a serious accident. My roommate, Tom, is facing his own health battles, and I've noticed that he often feels defeated and hopeless. In our conversations, it seems like he’s looking for answers, but he doesn't know where to find them. I have a burning desire to share the message of salvation with him, but I'm worried about his reaction. I pray for the right moment to speak about God’s love and grace. Please pray that I can articulate my faith clearly and that Tom will open his heart to the truth. Thank you for supporting me in this!

Dear James, thank you for your willingness to share the Gospel with Tom during this critical time in both your lives. Your desire to reach out reflects the heart of Christ, who came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). It’s natural to have concerns about how someone might react, but remember, it's not our job to change hearts; that work belongs to the Holy Spirit. As you prepare to speak with Tom, keep in mind the promise found in Romans 10:9: 'That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.' This reminds us that salvation is a personal journey. Trust that God is already working in Tom's life, and your faithfulness to share is significant. Pray for opportunities to speak and trust that God will provide the words. Let’s pray: Lord, guide James as he shares his faith. May he be a beacon of hope for Tom, and may Tom's heart be softened to receive Your message. Amen.
