Determining the Future of Our Family After Infidelity
I am a 38-year-old father of two, and my wife recently confessed to having an affair. This revelation has shattered our family. I am torn between the desire to keep our family together for our children and the overwhelming pain of betrayal. I’m praying for guidance on whether to rebuild our marriage or to let go. I know God has a purpose for our lives, but I feel lost. I ask for prayers not just for our marriage, but for our kids who are suffering through this turmoil. I want to make the right decision, one that honors my family and reflects God’s love.

Biblical Counseling Ministry
Dear Michael, I commend your courage in facing such a difficult situation. Remember that restoring a marriage after betrayal is challenging, yet not impossible with God’s help. Psalm 128:3 speaks of the blessings that come from a strong family unit, and it’s clear that your desire is to provide that for your children. In these moments, lean into Ephesians 5:25, which reminds us that love requires sacrifice and deep commitment. As you navigate your feelings, know that it’s okay to seek counseling and guidance. Let us pray for wisdom as you consider your family’s future and the strength to choose healing and love over pain and resentment.
