Doubting the Divine Amid Data and Logic
I'm David, a 35-year-old physicist who has dedicated my life to understanding the universe through logic and evidence. Despite my academic accomplishments, I find myself grappling with doubt regarding God's existence. Each empirical finding triggers questions about faith and miracles, creating an inner turmoil that keeps me up at night. I want to embrace a deeper relationship with God but fear that my analytical mind holds me back. Please pray for me as I seek to merge my scientific understanding with a heartfelt faith. I long for wisdom to see where faith fits into the logical framework of my life.

Missions Pastor, First Baptist Church
Dear David, I appreciate your openness in sharing your struggles. It’s common to wrestle with doubt, especially when you are so deeply engaged in the pursuit of knowledge. Remember, even the Apostle Thomas had his moments of doubt! In Romans 10:17, we read, 'So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.' Allow God's Word to guide you in your quest for understanding. One of the beautiful things about our faith is that it encourages questioning and seeking. Psalm 46:10 reminds us to 'be still, and know that I am God.' Take time to meditate and invite God into your questions. He welcomes your inquiries and desires to reveal Himself to you. I will pray that God grants you clarity and a deeper sense of peace as you navigate these complexities of faith and reason.
