Dreams of Higher Education Dashed by Financial Woes
I’m David, and I am struggling deeply after learning that I was not able to secure funding for my desired graduate program. I had envisioned furthering my education in theology, but with the mounting costs, it feels as though my dreams have been put on hold indefinitely. I feel frustrated and lost, as if my faith and aspirations have been put to the test. I’m seeking prayer for clarity on what to do next and for a way to pursue this path, whether it be through unexpected opportunities or new methods of funding.

Dear David, I understand your pain and frustration at this moment, and I want to encourage you that God sees your heart's desires. It can be disheartening when our dreams feel out of reach, but remember that God works in mysterious ways. Psalm 37:4 states, 'Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.' This means that as you continue to seek Him and delight in your relationship with Him, He will lead you in the right direction. Also, consider the wisdom of James 1:5, which reminds us, 'If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.' Ask God to provide clarity and guidance in this situation. In times like these, Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to 'be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.' I will be praying for doors to open and for your heart to be filled with peace as you seek His will.
