Elderly Woman Seeking Purpose in Ministry
At 68, I’ve recently retired and find myself yearning for a deeper purpose in life. I’ve always felt called to serve God, but now that I’ve stepped away from my job, I wonder if I should attend seminary. My heart is filled with a desire to guide others, especially younger generations, in their faith journeys. However, I feel my age might be a barrier. Am I too late to pursue this path? I pray for clarity and direction as I explore this potential calling, seeking the right next steps to live out my faith purposefully.

Remember, God has a purpose for all ages; in fact, Moses was 80 when God called him to lead His people! In Isaiah 46:4, the Lord reassures us, "Even to your old age I am He, and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you." Trust that God is not limited by age, and your heart's desire to guide others is a beautiful calling. Your faith is a testament that can inspire younger generations, as Romans 10:17 teaches us that faith comes from hearing the Word of God.
