Embracing New Skills in the Face of Change
I’m 51 years old and recently found myself in a position where I need to learn new technology for my job. I have always believed in hard work and dedication, but the rapid pace of change is making me feel inadequate. My coworkers, who are much younger, seem to adapt effortlessly, and I often feel out of place. I’m praying for the ability to embrace this new learning curve without fear or hesitation. I ask for your prayers that I may find confidence in my abilities and rediscover my passion for my work amidst this transition.

Dear Tamara, thank you for sharing your heart and struggles. It’s brave of you to express your concerns, and it’s clear you have a desire to grow. Remember, God values perseverance and dedication, and at this time, He invites you into a new chapter of learning. Joshua 1:8 instructs us to meditate on the Word so that we may observe to do according to all that is written, and in doing so, we will find success. Take each step of learning as an opportunity to trust in the Lord’s provision. Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us that it is God who gives us the ability to succeed, and you can lean on that promise as you advance. I encourage you to celebrate small victories in this journey. Let’s pray for strength, courage, and wisdom as you navigate this new path and embrace the learning ahead.
