Encouraging Conversation with My Muslim Coworker
I've been working alongside a wonderful Muslim coworker for a while now, and we've developed a good friendship. Recently, they've started asking me questions about my faith, particularly about Jesus. I want to share my beliefs authentically, but I’m nervous about how to articulate the Gospel in a way that resonates with them. I deeply care for this person and want them to experience the love of Christ, but I worry about miscommunicating the message or causing offense. Please pray that I find the right words to say and that my coworker's heart remains open to the truths of the Gospel. I desire for them to know the hope that comes from faith in Jesus. I ask for guidance and wisdom as I navigate this conversation.

Dear Michael, it’s beautiful to hear about your friendship with your coworker and their openness to discuss faith. It is written in John 3:16, 'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' This verse encapsulates the heart of the Gospel, revealing God's immense love for all people. As you share your faith, remember that your testimony is powerful. In Romans 10:9, we are reminded that 'if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.' Trust that the Holy Spirit will guide your words. Pray for your coworker’s heart; God can soften hearts in ways we might not understand. As you engage in these conversations, lean on Him. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us not to be anxious but to present our requests to God, trusting that His peace will guard our hearts. I will be praying for both you and your coworker, that this dialogue leads to a deeper understanding and ultimately to the embrace of Christ's love. May God bless your efforts.
