Facing Financial Hardship in Ministry Work
I’m a 28-year-old associate pastor, and it’s been challenging to manage my finances on the current salary. My wife and I are expecting our first child, and the thought of not being able to provide for our growing family is terrifying. I feel so underqualified and stressed about our future. I pray for God's guidance and provision, that I might find ways to supplement my income or receive assistance. Please join me in prayer for a financial miracle that will allow my family to thrive and not just survive.
Pastor's Response
Pastor Michael Thompson
Senior Pastor, Bethel Church
Dear Noah, first of all, congratulations on the exciting news of your first child! I understand the pressure you must be feeling, especially with impending responsibilities. It’s completely natural to worry about providing for your family, but I want to remind you of the truth in Luke 16:10, "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much..." Your faithfulness in ministry will not go unnoticed. Trust that God will provide as you continue to seek Him earnestly. I encourage you to explore additional sources of income as well—many churches are open to supporting their staff in creative ways that reflect the needs of the community. Remember to lean on your church family for support. Let’s pray together for God's provision and to ease the burden of your worries. He is a God of abundance and will guide you through this season. Amen.
