Facing Test Anxiety Before My Career Exam
I am reaching out in desperation. I have a critical licensure exam coming up that will determine my future in my career. The pressure is overwhelming, and I find myself paralyzed by anxiety. Every time I sit down to study, I feel my heart race and my mind goes blank. I am scared that if I don’t pass, I will let my family down, as they have sacrificed so much for my education. I feel like this test is more than just an exam; it feels like a test of my worth. Please pray that I find calm and focus as I prepare, and that I can trust in the abilities God has given me. I ask for peace that surpasses all understanding as I approach this daunting challenge.

Senior Pastor, Bethel Church
Dear Emily, I want you to know that your feelings of anxiety are valid, and you are not alone in this struggle. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalms 46:1). It’s completely normal to feel pressure, especially when so much seems to be at stake. But remember, you can cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). As you prepare for your exam, I encourage you to take moments to breathe deeply and pray. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us not to be anxious for anything but to present our requests to God with thanksgiving. As you study, invite God into your preparation, and trust that He has equipped you with what you need to succeed. I will be praying for your peace and clarity in the coming days. May you feel God’s presence with you.
