Facing the Future After My Spouse's Stroke
My spouse suffered a stroke a few weeks ago, and I am devastated. We had so many plans for our future, and now everything feels uncertain. I watch them struggle daily, and it breaks my heart. I often find myself feeling angry and helpless, questioning why this happened to us. Despite my despair, I want to hold on to hope. I ask for prayer for my spouse’s recovery and for strength and patience for me as I navigate this new path.

Dear Linda, I want you to know that your feelings of heartbreak and frustration are completely valid. This is a profound challenge for both you and your spouse, and it's important to acknowledge your emotions. In times of struggle, remember God’s promise to us in Revelation 21:4, where He assures us that He will wipe away every tear and that there will be no more pain. It is a reminder of the hope we have in Him. Additionally, lean into your faith and the support of your community as we are called to bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2). As you care for your spouse, remember to also take care of yourself. I will be praying for healing for your spouse and for you to find renewed strength and hope in God during this challenging time. You both are in my thoughts and prayers.
