Facing the Unknown Before My Major Surgery

Dear Emily, I'm so grateful that you reached out during this difficult time. Your concerns are not uncommon, and I want to remind you of God’s promise in Isaiah 41:10, where He assures us, 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.' It is completely natural to feel apprehensive before such a significant event. Remember, you are not alone—God is with you every step of the way. I also want to encourage you with Psalm 34:18, which tells us, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' He understands your fears and is there to comfort you. As you prepare for your surgery, focus on Philippians 4:6, which reminds us to 'Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.' Pray for His peace to envelop you, and trust that He has a plan for your healing. May you feel His presence as you move forward.
