Fear of Hospital Stay for My Newborn
Hi, I’m Malik, and my newborn girl was just admitted to the NICU due to complications at birth. I can’t express how terrified I am. Each moment spent in the hospital feels like an eternity, and I find myself constantly praying for her strength and healing. I can’t help but feel helpless as I watch her struggle. My heart is heavy, and the fear of losing her overwhelms me. I am trying to grasp onto hope, but the worry just keeps creeping back. Please pray for her quick recovery and that I find peace in this storm. I need God’s assurance that He is holding her close.

Dear Malik, my heart goes out to you during this incredibly challenging time. It is completely natural to feel overwhelmed when facing the uncertainty of your newborn's health. Know that the Lord sees your pain and hears your prayers. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus invites us, saying, 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' He offers us His rest, and I encourage you to lean into that promise. Your daughter is in God’s hands, and as you wait for her to grow stronger, I want to remind you of His faithfulness. In James 5:15, we're told, 'And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up.' The fervent prayers of family and friends can usher in healing and restoration. I will be praying for your sweet girl and for you, that you find peace in the knowledge of God’s love and presence. May His comfort surround you both. Amen.
