Fear of Judgement During Church Activities
Hello, I’m Juan, a 45-year-old man from a Spanish-speaking background. I love my church community, but I often feel anxious when participating in group activities or sharing my thoughts during discussions. I find myself worrying that others might judge me or think less of me, particularly because English is not my first language. This fear holds me back from engaging and sharing my testimony, which I know could inspire others. I truly want to be involved, but the thought of being humiliated in front of my peers fills me with dread. Could you please pray for me to overcome this crippling fear and to trust that God will use my voice as it is?

Dear Juan, thank you for opening your heart and sharing your struggles with us. It’s completely understandable to feel anxious in social settings, especially when language barriers add to the pressure. But I want to encourage you with this truth: God has given you a unique voice that carries His message, and He delights in your willingness to share it. The Bible promises us that God’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), so each day is an opportunity to start fresh and trust in His grace. Remember, you are not defined by the opinions of others. Instead, lean into God's love and remember that He has a plan for you (Jeremiah 29:11). I will pray for you to experience God’s peace and courage as you step out in faith. Trust that He is with you, helping you share your thoughts confidently. Your testimony can bless and uplift others in ways you cannot even imagine.
