Fear of Losing Control in My Relationships
I’m a 28-year-old woman who has always been a planner. I find it incredibly difficult to let go of control, especially in my relationships. I fear that if I surrender my friendships and romantic life to God, I might lose the very connections I cherish. This fear has caused me to hold on tightly, but I feel the strain of trying to manage everything. I ask for prayers to help me let go and trust God with my relationships, believing that He knows what’s best for me and my heart.

Dear Emily, thank you for being open about your struggle with control. It can be hard to relinquish our grip on relationships, but God invites us to trust Him. Remember that ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen’ (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). When you surrender your fears, you make room for God to work miracles in your life. He knows the desires of your heart, and as you lean on Him, He will guide you to the right connections. Trust that God has your best interests at heart as stated in Jeremiah 29:11. Let’s pray for the strength to release control and embrace the beautiful plan God has for your relationships. Amen.
