Fear of Missing God's Call on My Life
As a 35-year-old father of two, I often feel overwhelmed with responsibilities and the daily grind. I love my family and want to provide for them, but deep down, I worry I might be missing God's calling for my life. Sometimes I feel like I’m just going through the motions, and I want to ensure I’m fulfilling His plan. Am I doing enough? Is there something greater I should be pursuing? I pray for God to illuminate my path and give me the courage to step out in faith. I want to leave a legacy of faith and purpose for my children, but I need His guidance and clarity to do that.

Pastor Michael Thompson
Senior Pastor, Bethel Church
Dear Marcus, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It’s completely normal to feel the weight of such important responsibilities. Remember, God knows your heart and your desires to serve Him. In John 14:27, Jesus assures us of His peace, which surpasses all understanding; lean into that peace as you navigate your journey. God’s calling is often revealed in the everyday moments of life, and He can use you right where you are. Trust in Proverbs 3:5, which teaches us to acknowledge Him in all our ways, and He will direct your paths. As you take time to pray, seek His guidance, and remain open to His leading, you’ll find clarity in your calling. I pray that you receive the confidence and assurance that you are fulfilling God's purpose in your life each day, and that He guides you to the greater things He has in store for you.
