Feeling Alone in My Faith Journey
Hello Pastor Samuel, I’m reaching out because I feel incredibly alone in my walk with God. My partner does not share my beliefs, and while I love them deeply, the spiritual gap is growing. I find it hard to engage in my faith when there’s no one to share it with. I’ve tried to encourage them to explore faith, but it often leads to uncomfortable conversations. I feel spiritually depleted and wish I could have someone to lean on. I’m asking for prayer that I can remain steadfast in my faith and that my partner might open their heart to God.

Dear Lily, your feelings of isolation in your faith journey are valid and shared by many. It can be so difficult to walk with someone who doesn’t share your beliefs. However, I want to remind you that God sees your struggle. In Matthew 19:6, we are reminded that when God joins two people, they become one flesh. Even when spiritual differences exist, your love can still be a source of strength and encouragement. Keep praying and showing Christ's love to your partner; as noted in Joel 2:25, God can restore what has been lost. I encourage you to seek fellowship within the church, as Hebrews 10:24-25 calls us to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can support you in prayer and fellowship. I will be praying for you and your partner, asking God to touch their heart and for you to be filled with His peace. Trust that He is at work.
