Feeling Disconnected While Working in Tech
Hi, I'm James, a 28-year-old software developer. My workplace is filled with people whose values don't align with mine, and I often feel isolated in my faith. I want to share the love of Christ with my colleagues, but I'm afraid of being judged or pushed away. There have been moments when discussions turn to topics like moral relativism, and I feel like I’m on the outside looking in. I pray for courage to speak up and for wisdom in how to approach these conversations without coming off as preachy. I'm asking for prayer that I might find opportunities to witness authentically and build genuine relationships in my workplace.

Dear James, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It’s a real challenge to stand firm in your faith amidst a culture that often contradicts your beliefs. Remember, God has placed you in your workplace for a reason; you are His instrument there. Jesus said in John 14:6, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’ Your truth can shine brightly in a dark environment. When you feel the pressure to conform, remember Romans 3:23: ‘For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.’ This reminds us that everyone, including your colleagues, is in need of God’s grace. Pray for opportunities to demonstrate love and compassion. Ephesians 2:8 tells us, ‘For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.’ Lean on that grace as you seek to witness. I will pray for you to find the right words and opportunities to share your faith. May God bless your efforts and give you courage. Amen.
