Feeling Isolated in My Faith Journey
After marrying my husband, I thought we would build our faith together, but he has struggled to accept Christianity. I feel a deep sense of isolation as I attend church and attend Bible studies alone. I love my husband, but the spiritual disconnect is hard to bear. I wish he could experience what I've found in Jesus. I often pray for him, but my heart aches from the loneliness and the fear that my faith is pulling us apart instead of bringing us closer. I'm reaching out for prayer to find strength in my faith and methods to encourage my husband gently without overwhelming him.

Dear Laura, thank you for your honest and vulnerable message. It's understandable to feel isolated when the one you love does not share in your faith. Your struggles resonate deeply with many Christian spouses. Remember that your faith journey is personal, and you can still flourish even in this challenging situation. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 11:28, 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' Take time to rest in Him, knowing that He is always there for you. As Romans 12:10 encourages, let your love for your husband be genuine; this will create an inviting space for discussion about faith. Trust that God can work in His heart in ways you might not see right now. Continue to support and love him without pressure. I will pray for you both, asking God to provide you with strength and wisdom to navigate this journey together.
