Feeling Lost After a Shift in My Beliefs
Having been raised in a church that preached prosperity gospel, I’ve always equated my faith with my financial success. After experiencing a series of personal failures, including a business that collapsed and a divorce, I find myself questioning everything I've believed. I feel disoriented and lost, as if the foundation of my faith has crumbled. Now, I’m seeking something substantial—real faith that stands firm in all circumstances. I long to learn how to trust God in the midst of pain and uncertainty, without tying my self-worth to material success. I am asking for prayer for guidance as I navigate this challenging time and for strength to rebuild my faith on the true Gospel.

Dear Mark, thank you for bravely sharing your journey and the challenges you’re facing. It’s completely understandable to feel lost when the ground beneath us shakes. Remember, our faith is not meant to be founded on prosperity but on the rock of Christ. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 7:24-25 that 'whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not; for it was founded upon a rock.' Your willingness to seek genuine faith is a step toward that solid foundation. In times of uncertainty, cling to Proverbs 3:5, which encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts. Let us also reflect on Philippians 1:6, which assures us that God is actively working in you. I will be praying for your healing and the restoration of your faith, as you discover a deeper relationship with God.
