Feeling the Deep Loss of My Marriage
I never thought I would feel this type of aching loss. My husband and I were together for over a decade, and now, after our divorce, it feels like a part of me has died. I thought we would grow old together, but instead, I'm left with memories of laughter and love that haunt me. I keep asking myself where it all went wrong, and the loneliness is unbearable. Every day feels like a struggle to get out of bed, and I find myself crying at the smallest reminders of our life together. I am pleading for prayer as I navigate this grief and try to find healing in my heart once again.

Dear Lena, I am deeply moved by your pain and the sense of loss you are experiencing. Divorce can indeed feel like a death, as it signifies the end of a cherished relationship and dreams. I want to remind you that your grief is valid and that God is with you in this journey. In Psalm 34:18, we are assured that 'The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' Allow yourself the space to mourn and remember that you are not alone. God promises to comfort those who grieve, as stated in 2 Corinthians 1:4, where it says, 'Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble.' Seek His presence in prayer and through His Word, and let His peace wash over you. I encourage you to hold on to hope, for Jesus said in John 11:25, 'I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.' May you find solace in His promises and the support of those around you. Let us pray together for your healing and restoration.
