Fighting Fear of Personal Harm to My Children
I am a grandmother raising my grandchildren, and the fear that something may happen to them weighs heavily on my heart. I worry about their safety every time they walk to school or play outside. This fear has made it difficult to enjoy our time together, as I find myself becoming overly protective. I want to trust that God is watching over them, but the anxiety often feels paralyzing. I ask for prayers to release this fear and to believe in God's promises to protect and care for my family. I cling to John 14:27, where Jesus assures us that He gives us peace, not as the world gives.

Dear Elena, thank you for your heartfelt request. It's clear that your devotion as a grandmother is profound, and your fears stem from a place of love. It is very natural to want to protect your grandchildren. In moments when fear threatens to overshadow joy, remember that God invites you to cast those fears onto Him. In 1 Peter 5:7, we are reminded, 'Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.' In John 14:27, Jesus offers us peace that is unlike anything the world can provide. Allow yourself to accept that peace and find comfort in God's promises. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, I lift up Elena and her grandchildren to You. May she find peace in your promises and trust in Your loving protection. Amen.
