Finding Comfort on Mom's Tenth Anniversary
As I mark ten years since my mother left this world, I feel an ache in my heart that words cannot describe. Every year on this day, I struggle with the same feelings of loss and longing. It feels like yesterday when I held her hand and heard her voice, and I wish I could hug her one more time. I want to honor her memory, but the hurt feels so raw and fresh. I ask for your prayers as I work through this grief and seek comfort not only for myself but for my family who also miss her dearly. Thank you for standing with me in prayer.

Dear Sophia, I understand how challenging anniversaries can be, especially one as significant as this. It’s completely natural to feel the sting of loss return as the date approaches. Your mom’s love is still with you, woven into the fabric of your life, and it’s okay to feel both the joy of her memory and the pain of her absence. Remember the promise of Psalm 147:3, which tells us, 'He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.' God sees your pain and is here to mend your heart. As you navigate through this day, may you find solace in the love and memories you created together. I encourage you to hold on to the beautiful moments, and let them bring a smile to your heart even amidst the tears. Let’s pray: Lord, be with Sophia today as she recalls her mother’s life. Bring healing and comfort to her heart. Amen.
