Finding Community After Loss
After losing my husband, I feel isolated. I’m a widowed mother of three young kids, and it’s hard to connect with others who understand what I’m going through. I crave community, support, and shared experiences to help me navigate this new life. I ask for prayers that God sends people into my life who can walk alongside us during this difficult time. I want my children to feel the warmth of community, even when their father is not physically here.

Dear Lisa, I can feel from your request how deeply you long for connection and community. It can be incredibly difficult to step into the world again after such a profound loss. Remember that Christ Himself was a part of community; He surrounded Himself with friends and disciples. In 2 Corinthians 1:3, we are encouraged to find comfort in God, who assures us that He can provide friends or a support system when we need it most. I encourage you to reach out to your local church or support groups; they can be a tremendous resource. Additionally, Galatians 6:2 reminds us to bear one another's burdens, and you have much to share with others who may also be grieving. Let us pray: Father, bring the right people into Lisa's life to support her and her children through this journey. May they find comfort and friendship in You. Amen.
