Finding Faith After Losing My Loved Ones
Dear Pastor Linda, I am writing to you in pain. I have lost several family members in recent years, and with each loss, my faith has begun to wane. I struggle to see how a loving God could allow such sorrow. I find myself questioning whether there is truly an afterlife or if this is all there is. I need prayer to help me restore my faith and to believe that there is hope after this life. My heart feels heavy, and I long for reassurance about seeing my loved ones again.

Dear Ravi, I am so sorry for your losses. Experiencing the passing of loved ones is a profound sorrow that can shake our faith. I want to remind you of the hope we have in Christ. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, we are reminded, "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him." This is a beautiful promise of reunion. Trust that God understands your pain and desires to comfort you. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing, so immerse yourself in His Word during this time. It is through His promises that we find strength. Let’s pray: Father, help Ravi to find peace and hope in Your promises regarding the afterlife. May his faith be renewed through Your love. Amen.
