Finding Faith Again After Deep Hurt
My name is Angela, and I’ve been feeling lost in my faith lately due to past experiences in my church community. I used to find solace and joy in worship, but after feeling excluded and judged, I’ve distanced myself from church activities. It’s been over a year since I stepped foot in my church, and I really miss the sense of belonging it once gave me. However, the scars of my experiences keep me from trusting anyone there. I’m asking for prayer to find the courage to explore my faith anew and foster the strength to let others in again.

Dear Angela, thank you for your vulnerability in sharing your struggles. It’s completely understandable to feel lost when your faith community has hurt you. First, I want to encourage you that God has not abandoned you. In fact, He is waiting with open arms for you to return. As John 14:27 states, 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.' His peace can fill the void you feel and provide comfort in your journey. Let yourself grieve what you’ve lost, but also take heart in knowing that God has a future of hope for you (Jeremiah 29:11). He can heal your wounds and restore your faith. Pray for guidance as you seek to reconnect with Him and others again. I am praying that you find the courage to take that first step back into a loving community.
