Finding God's Light in My Sister's Death
My sister's overdose has left me heartbroken and filled with guilt. I keep replaying our last conversations, wishing I had said or done something different. It's hard to find joy in anything now, and I often feel isolated in my grief. I’m asking for prayer that I can find God's light in this darkness and learn to forgive myself. I long for peace and a way to honor her memory without the burden of guilt. Please pray that God helps me on this journey of healing.

Dear Emily, I truly empathize with your pain and the heartache you're feeling after the loss of your sister. Grief can feel so isolating, especially when mixed with guilt. It's essential to remember that God is a refuge for us in these times (Psalm 46:1). You loved your sister, and I encourage you to focus on the good memories and the love you shared. The healing process can be long, but there is hope in knowing that God works all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). Allow yourself to grieve, and seek comfort in His presence. I urge you to reach out to those around you for support. Let’s pray: Gracious Father, comfort Emily in her sorrow. Bring her peace, help her to forgive herself, and guide her toward healing. Amen.
