Finding Grace After Heartbreak
I’m a 50-year-old man who has lived with the regret and guilt of a past abortion decision with my partner. I’ve carried this burden for over a decade, feeling unworthy of God’s love and forgiveness. It affects my mental health and has strained my current marriage. I often feel as if I’m walking through a dark tunnel with no light. I need prayer to find God’s grace and to learn how to forgive myself for my past. I want to heal and be a better husband and father.

Dear David, thank you for reaching out and being vulnerable about your struggles. Your feelings of regret are completely understandable, but I want to reassure you that God's grace is abundant and available for you. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13, we are reminded not to grieve without hope. There is hope for healing, even after painful choices. God sees your heart and is ready to embrace you with open arms. Psalm 30:5 tells us that joy comes in the morning; hold onto that promise. Additionally, Psalm 34:18 states, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.' Open yourself to His love, and trust that He will guide you toward healing. Let’s pray: 'Lord, I ask that You envelop David in Your grace and help him find peace and healing in his journey to forgiveness. Amen.'
