Finding Hope After a Season of Fear
As a nurse on the frontline during the pandemic, I’ve seen so much suffering and heartache. It has shaken my faith, and I find myself battling feelings of hopelessness. The fear of what I’ve witnessed has left scars on my heart, and I am struggling to see the good in people and the world around me. I want to restore my faith and hope, knowing that God is still in control despite the chaos. Please pray that I can find strength and healing in the midst of this darkness and that I can rediscover my faith in God’s love and plan.

Dear Laura, thank you for your service and for sharing your struggles with us. What you have witnessed is indeed heart-wrenching, and it's understandable to feel overwhelmed. Remember that in times of trouble, we can call upon the Lord for strength. As stated in Psalm 46:1, 'God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.' He walks with us through our darkest valleys. Look to Him for healing and comfort. Know that your work has been a beacon of hope to so many, even when you may not see it. I encourage you to lean on Him and engage in prayer, as Matthew 17:20 reminds us that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. I will pray for you to find renewal in your spirit and that God’s light will shine through the challenges you face. Together, let us trust in His perfect love. Amen.
