Finding Hope After an Adoption Setback
After preparing for months to adopt a little girl, we received the news today that the adoption has been postponed indefinitely. The news was devastating. My husband and I had envisioned our lives together with her, filled with laughter, love, and joy. Now, we are left with a sense of emptiness and uncertainty. I ask for prayers that we can remain hopeful and trust that God is still working in our situation. Please pray that we can find healing as we navigate this loss and that God will grant us patience and clarity about what our next steps should be.

Dear Jordan, I am so sorry to hear about the setback in your adoption journey. The anticipation and excitement you’ve built up only to face disappointment is truly heartbreaking. In times like these, it’s important to lean on the promises of God. Hebrews 13:5 reminds us that God will never leave us nor forsake us, even in our darkest moments. It may feel uncertain now, but remember that He has plans for your family. Psalm 127:3 tells us that children are a heritage from the Lord, and I believe that your family will be beautifully formed in His perfect timing. Trust in His plan, and don’t lose hope. Let's pray: Heavenly Father, I lift up Jordan and his wife, asking for comfort and clarity as they navigate through this painful moment. May they find strength in You. Amen.
