Finding Hope and Wisdom in Fostering
Lord, I come to you with a prayer for wisdom and hope as I foster a young child who has experienced deep trauma. This journey feels daunting at times, and I often find myself unsure of how to help him heal. I want to be a light in his life and help him find joy again, but some days, it feels impossible. Please help me understand his needs and show me ways to create a nurturing environment. I ask for patience when I feel frustrated and understanding when I feel lost. Guide me to be the parent he deserves and help him to know he is loved. Thank you for being my support during this time. In Your Name, I pray. Amen.

Romans 12:10 encourages us to 'Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.' This is crucial as you build your relationship with your foster child. Additionally, remember that God is with you every step of the way, providing comfort in times of uncertainty. Isaiah 41:10 reassures us, 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.' Keep leaning on Him for wisdom and strength. Let’s pray: Lord, grant Liam the hope, patience, and love he needs as he fosters this young child. Amen.
