Finding Hope in My New Limitations
Hello, I’m David, and I am a 45-year-old husband and father. I lost my leg to diabetes, and it's been a tough transition. I used to be active and loved playing with my kids outside, but now everything feels different. I grieve for the times I took for granted, and I worry about how my family is coping with the changes. I often feel guilt that I can’t provide the same level of support and engagement I used to. I ask for prayers that I can shift my perspective and find new ways to bond with my family and create lasting memories, even with my new limitations.

Dear David, thank you for your heartfelt request for prayer. It is understandable to feel guilt and grief over your changing abilities, but I want to assure you that your worth is not defined by physical limitations. In Philippians 4:13, we are reminded, 'I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.' While you navigate this transition, remember that your love and presence are what truly matter to your family. You can still create beautiful memories together in new ways. The Lord is working in you and through you, even in this season of change. Let’s pray that you will find hope and creativity in how you engage with your family moving forward. May the Lord restore your joy and peace as you journey through this together. Amen.
