Finding Light in Postpartum Darkness
Dear God, I am reaching out in desperation. Since having my baby, I have been battling severe postpartum depression. I often feel lost, and guilt tramples my every thought, making me question my worth as a mother. Fear consumes me; I worry every day if I am doing right by my child. The joy I expected to feel is overshadowed by these feelings of inadequacy. I need Your healing and comfort, Lord. Please guide me through this storm and help me rediscover the joy I know exists. Amen.

Dear Maya, I want you to know that it’s okay to feel overwhelmed in this new season of motherhood. God is always there, ready to lift you up. In moments like these, remember the verse that tells us to cast all our care upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). It’s crucial to lean on the Lord during your hardest times, for He promises us that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not alone in this journey; reach out to those who can support you. Healing takes time, and God is faithful in the healing process. Let us pray for your peace and healing: Lord, I lift Maya to You. Surround her with Your love and grant her the healing she seeks. Amen.
